This policy covers climatecontrolledstorageunits.com ("the site", "we", "us"). You can browse the site without an account. We collect only what's described below.

What we collect

When you visit

We use Google Analytics 4 to see which pages people read and how they find the site. It sets cookies and records things like the pages you view, your approximate location (city level), your browser and device type, and the site that referred you. We use these reports in aggregate only. Google's explanation of how it uses data from sites describes its side.

Our host keeps standard server logs, which include IP addresses, for security and troubleshooting.

When you send a form

Our forms (report an error, list or claim your facility, ask a question) collect what you type in, such as your name, email address, facility details and message, plus any photo you upload. We use it only to handle your request: to check a listing, reply to you or update the site. If you email us, we keep your email to reply.

Photos and details a facility sends us may be published on its listing once we approve them. We'll never publish your email address.

Services that process data for us

• Cloudflare hosts the site and stores form submissions and uploaded photos.
• Google Analytics measures site traffic.
• Google Fonts serves the site's fonts, so your browser requests them from Google.
• OpenStreetMap serves the map tiles, and unpkg serves the map code, on pages with a map.

Each of these receives your IP address when your browser loads its files. We don't sell personal information, and we don't share it for advertising.

Links to other sites

Listings link to facility websites, Google Maps and government sources. Those sites have their own privacy policies, and we don't control what they collect.

Your choices

• You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or use Google's Analytics opt-out add-on.
• You can ask us to show you, correct or delete what you've sent us. Email [email protected].
• Depending on where you live, you may have more rights under laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act or the GDPR. Email us to use them.

How long we keep it

We keep form submissions and emails as long as we need them to handle the request and keep the listing accurate, then delete them. Analytics data is kept under Google Analytics' retention settings.

Children

The site isn't aimed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
