The site is a free directory of self storage facilities whose own websites say they offer climate-controlled units, plus general articles about storage. We don't own or run any facility, rent units, take bookings or handle payments. Any rental agreement is between you and the facility.

Listing information

Listings are built from public sources: each facility's website, Google for ratings and hours, and government data such as NOAA climate normals. We check them carefully, but facilities change prices, units and conditions without telling us. Information can be out of date or wrong, and we provide it "as is". Confirm anything that matters to you, including prices, temperature and humidity control and access hours, directly with the facility before you rent. See our disclaimer for more.

Our articles are general information, not professional advice. For valuable, fragile or irreplaceable items, consider asking a conservator, insurer or other qualified professional.

What you send us

When you send a form, photo or email, you confirm that it's accurate to the best of your knowledge and that you have the right to share it. You let us use, edit and publish what you send in connection with the site, such as a correction to a listing or a photo of a facility. Facilities that submit details are responsible for keeping them accurate.

Acceptable use

Please don't:

• send false reports or impersonate a facility or person;
• copy the site's content or data in bulk, or scrape it in a way that burdens the site;
• try to disrupt, break into or misuse the site or its forms.

Our content

The site's text, design and compiled data belong to climatecontrolledstorageunits.com, except quotes from facility websites and other sources, which belong to their owners and are shown to cite them. You're welcome to link to any page and to quote short passages with a link back.

Links to other sites

We link to facility websites, Google Maps and government sources. We aren't responsible for their content, accuracy or practices.

Limitation of liability
